Survey Time!

Hey all! So I’m setting out on an amazing business venture with Kristin, Nicki Clyne from “Battlestar,” and Sarah Edmondson… The four of us are building something really awesome geared directly to college students and we would love to get YOUR feedback about what YOU want!

So we’ve come up with this survey, and it would be so, so, so amazing if you could take a few minutes to fill out it out so we can get the info! Because the business is for college students only, we are asking that only seniors in high school through college students of any year participate in this round of questions! Thanks so, so much all!

See you soon with the next Mack Event!

Ciao,
Allison

If you ever need feedback from an old fart, just let me know.

LOL i was almost going to fill that out, but I figured with my luck I’d win or whatever and then you’d realize I was a fraud haha Maybe next time haha

  • Elizabeth M

I hope you get a lot of people taking the survery. I’m interested to see what you guys come up with

  • Megan

That was an interesting survey. What do you plan on doing with it?

PS – I qualified to take it but BARELYl! I graduate from college on Saturday the 15th!

It just means you finished something.”

  • http://translateoff.blogspot.com pandi merdeka

hmm I’m from jakarta can i participate :?:

  • Sarynelli

i just took it. MY, MY there were some pretty interesting questions in that survey. i’m scared to think what you guys will do with it now! haha

  • Seth

Hmmm, very interested to see where this goes. It was a fun survey :)

  • Kyle

That was — interesting. Some of those questions are hilarious. Be sure to let us know what all this is about. See ya next time.

Hello, I was taking some College courses online , but I had to stop , but hopefully I’ll be able to get back in the saddle again some day. ” My sister in law Terri is taking some online now. I had to watch my nephew Hunter . Hes five year old, I had to take care of him while she did her work the other day. His friend Tucker fell on top of him at school while they were playing tag, and broke the upper part of Hunter’s left leg. Hes getting better. Good luck with your venture.
    Peace&Love Alyson

  • Cindy

Umm… hmm… okay, yeah, that was fun. Those were some fun questions. Can’t wait to see what you girls are going to do with that.

  • Amy

Hi all, I am almost tempted to fill out the survey. I graduate from college on Dec 15. But I’m nowhere near high school age. I didn’t start college until I was 29! Let me know if you want the opinion of someone “over the hill”. Can’t wait to see what you four have planned. Good luck!

  • A

please keep up the survey for awhile! I get my college acceptance/decline letter in a few days! thks :)

  • Jeremy

I think one of the survey questions should have been “Do you want to take part in our survey?” Regardless of how you answer the question, you have taken part in the survey.

Also, you should have given away a free Yop yogurt drink with every successfully completed survey. But that’s another matter.

  • James

Haha weird survey… not sure if it was properly configured to glean accurate/correct information but it was fun to do.

  • Arista

That was… interesting. I’m an “adult” student and dear Lord was it something akin to humiliating to have to answer “Over the hill” to the age question. 31 isn’t that old. Just ask your buddy, Tom. Okay, okay… so he’s 30, but still… close enough to identify with my plight since he would’ve had to answer “Over the hill.”

I’ll be in the corner crying now. TYVM.

  • http://myspace.com/pavpod Adrian

Awesome! The questions made me share a big smile! I’d happily answer surveys like that anytime. At least it wasn’t boring! Can’t wait to hear about the results. :)

  • http://www.geocities.com/jmralls2001 Josh

Do you have to be currently in high school or college or can you have been in either but aren’t now?

  • http://www.geocities.com/jmralls2001 Josh

I’m a high school graduate and I’ve gone to college, but not for a degree. At least not yet.

  • http://www.daybow.com DavidHayes1956

Arista … Better “over the hill” than “over the hill and through the woods in a small cottage waiting for a visit from your grand child.” My … what big eyes you have!

  • gemGreg

It’s sad that there is no ‘Country’ to type :( I’m from Poland but still am a student.

  • Omega II

I’m not applicable, but I my curiosity is peeked. Wait you got Sarah and Kristen, but no Grace Park… that feels wrong somehow.

  • Jordan

The survey was pretty interesting, ha. Apparently I’ll do anything for cash or amusement. Sounds about right. ;)

  • http://freewebs.com/varden-era TheSnacks

I took it because I basically fit the requirements. Great questions. I am really intrigued and want to see what you will do with the website.

  • Darryl

I’m afraid I’m one of the over the hill gang members as well, however I did attend college many years ago. I applaud Allison, Kristin, and Nicki for their efforts to bring the college community together to voice their concerns and joys in life. I do have a suggestion for their new website. It might be nice to have a section devoted to bringing members of the college community and older members of society together so that the older members might be able to share some of their experiences they have learned on their journey and help address any concerns the college students might have about their journey ahead. It would give them a forum and allow the college students to “pick the brain” so to speak of older professional members of society. Not so much to lecture but to help bridge the generation gap a bit to let college students know where they may be headed. Just reading some of the blogs from some of the older members on here shows they have something to offer so why not let them participate and address concerns together. Just a suggestion

  • Cheekycrissy

Haha David Hayes.. I thought I was an old fart at 31.. Not going thru them woods to find that cottage.. i’d get lost easy!

yea it be interesting to see wat the results of the survey is..
Wat I love about students is, is that they’re very vocal and they really will put it to you straight, shoot from the hip and say how they feel about stuff.

  • Amy

Okay, I completed the survey. Very interesting….. Can’t wait to see what you four have planned.

  • Rafe

Allison!! It was the best test I have EVER done in my life!!!! And the part about you is true!!!

    Ciao for now,

    LOVE YOU!

    Rafe.

  • Erika

So I took the survey and I think it is great what you guys are trying to do. I know some people may look back at their school days not so fondly, but I have to say that my undergraduate college experience was amazing. The things I was able to do and the people I met will be the things that will stay with me througout life; maybe that will explain why I went straight out of high school, into college and was there from Fall 1999-Fall 2005 consistently, no stopping. I encourage everyone that if you are able to do at least ONE year as just an undergrad, please do it, if for no other reason just to realize that it’s not for you. I know, it’s probably a shock that my sights are now set on finishing a masters degree, but I knew it was the right choice to make, so that I could get into a career field that I can be proud of and love waking up to everyday. Keep up the good work ladies and if you guys are hiring, let me know, I’ll drop you a resume’. Oh and I never thought that 26 was over the hill, but boy was I wrong!

I read the interview pertaining to what the survey was for and I just wanted to say sounds like a really cool idea, albeit, perhaps a little challenging to pull off. I like how you said you are trying to personalize communication via the internet for college students, very cool. Just wondering where the interest came from, I mean why college students…why not some other demographic? Anyhow, good luck getting that up and running. I look forward to seeing what comes out of it. Although I must admit, I am college senior and thus a little sad that I soon will no longer be able to take those goofy surveys–that was quite odd :)
    Speak your truth,

That was such a hilarious survey, Allison! :D You guys did a wonderful job!

  • Aldona

    Allison,

This was one freaky survey (freaky meaning cool, lol). I can definitely tell it wasn’t geared toward us “over the hill” people since my age group wasn’t even close! But I still had an awesome time with it (I’m young at heart sometimes, and I still get carded, so I get that “fresh-out-of-high-school” feeling sometimes, lol).

And considering I’m taking Statistics at the moment, I have to say that surveys totally rock :D

    I have one question.

on the questions about abortion and stemcell, were you asking if we were for or against? or was it the fact those topics were of interest?

anyway it was cool, can’t wait to see what you guys are going to do with it.

  • http://n/a Tyler Barnes

I think it is great that you, Allison and Kristin are lauching a Website for college people. I am way too old to partcipate. But, I wish you well. This may be the only way that I might be able to state my theory about your character, Chloe, on Smallville, that has been stated elsewhere on Websites, such as Kyptonsite, namely, that it is Chloe who becomes the Lois Lane of the Superman era, not the character so named on Smallville. It is Chloe who is the woman who shows the greatest and purest and most genuine love for Clark in self-sacrifically keeping Clark’s secret and in being his “sidekick”, even to the point that she sometimes seems to neglect her reporting work and jeordizes her journalistic career being busy helping Clark as his “sidekick” and general resource/superhero helper. Clark’s obession with Lana has blinded him to Chloe’s great qualities except as a friend and has prevented him from falling in love with Chloe.
Chloe is a much better person for him than Lana. Dspite her relationship with Jimmy Olsen, I think Chloe is actually still deeply and passionately in love with Clark but has channeled it in this higher unselifish, self-sacrificial love of which I have spoken. She has shown herself to be a real journalist and a real help to Clark as the writers’s have written her. The Lois Lane character is really only a bimbo with exceptionally poor taste in men, with the latest relationship with her Editor at the Daily Planet, being the only the latest case in point, and hardly a credit to the iconic character of the comics and the Superman films. Chloe is really the Lois Lane character, in both her professional acheivements as a journalistic and personal helper to Clark and in her real love for him. . Allison, you play Chloe very well and I mean no disrespect to Erica Durance who in her portrayal of Lois is the best of all the actresses who have ever portrayed her in her PERSONALITY. It is her CHARACTER and PROFESSIONAL WORK as Lois Lane that I have a problem with the Smallville’s writers hvae developed her. I would have rather seen Erica Durance cast as Lois Lane in “Superman Returns” than Kate Bosworth. But, since this is “Smallville”, it is Chloe who should be revealed as being the real Lois Lane at the end of the series whenever that happens. Well done in your actnig, Allison Mack, because none of this would have made any sense without your good acting performance. Tyler Barnes, long time fan of Smallville.

Hi Allison, I filled out the survey and think it’s a fantastic idea. I’m eager and anxious to see what comes next. I also wanted to say thank you so much for your blog. Whenever I need some inspiration, some great quotes, or a little motivation I come to your site for some “pick-me-ups”! I love to read your thoughts on change and experiencing life to its fullest! Thanks so much!!

And I really enjoy your work on Smallville, and am pulling for you to be successful whatever you choose to do afterwards because I think you are great!

  • Joy

I love this idea! You and Kristen I know will make a great success out of this. Unfortunately, I’m only a Junior in highschool. I’m going to start applying this summer. Anyways, this is short and sweet, but I hope everything goes well for you and your new project.

Good luck and good days :)

  • Manny13b

Survey..Looks like fun, I was goin to do it until I saw the first page–”What college are you attending”..I was planning on college but like many others I wasn’t sure on what I wanted to be, so I joined the army as a Combat MOS, that way I’d get a better idea and get to talk to people of many different carrers and still maintain my mind in a nuetral setting…after 14 months and being currently stationed in Iraq, still I have no clue..So since your pretty famous, and your head hasn’t gotten huge (Props), I figured you talked to a ton load more people than me, I have any advice????

  • Lydia

I’m not a college student anymore. But, I continue to improve my English and German (self-study) so I wanted to take a look at the vocabulary used in the survey. I answered the questions (to be able to browse through the survey) thinking that there would be a ‘submit’ button at the end but there wasn’t…ooops…it wasn’t supposed to be sent. Sorry.
It’s a well thought-out, to-the-point and funny survey. Well done.

I applaud you and Kristin for getting involved in such an amazing project. You’re launching a unique website.
You’re both much more than just an actress. You’re smart, insightful and you have various interests so it’s really nice to see you getting involved together in this business venture.

  • Marilyne

    Hi!
First of all, the survey is hilarious! Then, I have to say that I just finished watching “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves”…ha ha ha! Alllison starred in it and let me tell you that she’s got the same face! (matured, of course) but it was still fun to watch and also Jackie from That ’70s show…back in 1997… The weirdest thing was: hearing you both talking French…when I’m used to your real voices…yours are much better !

    Thanks

    Take care

    Marilyne

    Hi Allison.

I pack the night before I travel. During the few days preceding the trip, I check my needs. I do not travel very often but in my country , I have to pack two times each year.
In october I pack my summer clothes and in april I pact my winter clothes. I make this procedure with 2 plastic boxes and one hour is sufficient. This procedure is necessary because of the changing seasons are like a trip. It is as if we changed of country. In few weeks, we go from 30c to minus 30c. I live in a country where I can see major changes of scenery and lifestyle without having to move , but I must annually pack my clothes. Last Sunday, in Montreal we received 45 cm of snow. It was the second snowstorm in 2 weeks. I spent several hours to clear all this snow. On your journey of 3 weeks, your luggages are full of gifts for your fans. More than 6 interviews with Kristin in a few days. A lot of informations about Smallville, Chloe , the survey, the new website and you.
You are wonderfull in the last episode Gemini.
Your time on the screen after 9 episodes is 80 minutes compared to 77 minutes last season. Wow It’s fantastic.
Take care of you and Merry Christmast.
    Bye

Chloe’s finally hitting the funny books, AM. See what you have wrought. :-)

She won’t be the same but the writing and your portrayal are so indelible, they couldn’t avoid making Chloe official Superman lore. I know it’s kind of a weird honor to receive in life, but also something to be proud of.
