My Hopes

In my life I hope to accomplish….
In my life I hope to accomplish a true understanding of the word compassion.
I hope to live that understanding in every moment of my life.
I hope to make beautiful art that inspires people to question, think, and push themselves in their relationships with the world around them.
I hope to build relationships with people that are based in authenticity and love.
I hope to inspire people to express themselves in the most joyful and genuine way possible.
I hope to be a woman who represents understanding and acceptance.
I hope to be instrumental in changing the way we relate to each other as human beings.
I hope to be an example of some one who takes responsibility for all things she effects in the world.
I hope to accomplish a life of joy!
I hope to laugh out loud.

    Those are great hopes! As far as the art thing goes, your work as Chloe Sullivan has inspired me to think about the world around me as I pursue my journalism goals.

    I hope to spend the rest of my life expressing myself through various art forms.
    I hope to live out the Bible verse “love God and love others.”
    I hope to enjoy as many sunsets as I can.
    I hope to inspire people to follow their dreams.
    I hope to spotlight social justice issues to new people.

    Everytime I stop by & check out your blog, your musings strike me as reminicent of some things I’ve pondered or have written about. Great minds think alike! ;-P But joking aside, I know that you’ve inspired others to take a step back and a take good look at themselves. Maybe you said something that makes them want to aspire to become better individuals and leave their stamp on the world. Come on, you have to know that you have.

    For instance, I always think no one listens to what I have to say (I’m longwinded, as you can see). I was chatting with my best bud Phil and telling him how proud of him I was. Well he didn’t think he’d done much of anything to deserve it. But I just took him back a couple of years and reminded him of his struggle in college (he’s 29 and just graduated- we’re late bloomers). Then I went back a couple more years & reminded him of a job he’d hated that he couldn’t see himself ever escaping (but he did). Then I went back a couple more years and so on. Anywho, by the time I got to us being 17, he was so quiet. I thought he’d hung up or fallen asleep. The he said “Wow. Thank you, Chel. I really have come a long way haven’t I?” His response made me cry (I’m a sap for mushy stuff) And there you have it. I’d made someone think. And so have YOU. Thanks, Allison. ;-D

    Hi Allison

    I was viewing your blogs and this entry in particular captivated me. I think these are superb hopes and endeavors that you want to experience in your life. I too focus on the supremacy of love and compassion. I believe it goes beyond the realms of human emotion, human thought, or general philosophies which contain fallacious arguments. I believe love is perfect and should be authentic in everyway in a spiritual sense.

    Allison, I know by these “hopes” you have set for yourself only shows that you are a loving person and I hope you achieve what you set out to accomplish and that you will find the meaning of love and compassion in your own life and the people you will meet.

    I know, I know, I’m a little late fort his reply, but I was just reading cross your blog and well… I don’t know… I just wanted to write a reply now.

    Well, I could write my whole poem here, but for your hopes there’s just one line to say… “a faithful heart makes wishes come true…”

    Wishes and hopes work hand in hand and the key’s to believe. I’m sure, one day you’ll find your hopes in reality.
