huummm my mom is a teacher, bnut im probably be afraid, in panic, front many students ina class room. I work with young journalist – tham me – sometimes i think that when i speak about my experience i help my friends with they works.

I am genuinely thrilled and happy for this revelation you have had about teaching! Yes, I agree with David Hayes – you have to pay attention to what you are saying and the reaction it stirs in your pupils.

I feel the line gets blurred between teaching and learning if it is done right. It is such a great way to hone a new perspective on the subject you are teaching when pupils shed some light on something that makes you say, “Wow, I never looked at it that way.”

There have been so many moments like that when I went to college and the professors encouraged discussion and participation. Such a beautiful moment to me. I feel triumph just witnessing that moment.

It’s interesting that you brought the teaching topic up because I just yesterday pondered how my life would be if I took a different career path and became a professor in psychology. I have thought about it before, but never as seriously as I did yesterday, and I feel being a professor would be just as fulfilling as my current career endeavor – becoming a medical doctor.

I would love to share the enthusiasm I have for psychology with others and savor the feedback that I get from my students.

Sidenote: I can’t believe there are only 33 days left until you direct Smallville! Do you feel prepared?

Teaching is a beautiful thing and true that is enlightening when you explain something to someone else. I completely agree and I am going to school to be a teacher myself, there is something noble about the profession. That can you can help shape minds and their futures and share your insights in that particular way. I want to connect people on that level.

Hey ma’am!
Well, I know it’s minuscule, but, I’m teaching my two-year old cousin the days of the week. Some of you may be thinking, why?, she’s only two years old. But she’s the most intelligent toddler I’ve met! She knows her ABC’s and counts up to 50 and speaks to me like any one of you would. Just not on topics such as…politics. :]
Another thing, my brother is a pretty good singer and I’m not great, but I can pull it off. So he and I are attempting to sing duets or just songs where we sing at the same time. I really enjoy teaching him how to project his voice and I love how I feel more…complete when I’m through.

I love teaching but it’s not all fun and games. I’m kidding, of course it is. But it’s not glamorous, not that I’d know how glamorous acting is. And if you think fans are venerative wait ’til one of your students has a crush on you.

Here is something I wrote, I think its something I can teach everyone, that the world has a little color after all…

Hopefully I’m not just writing words on a page, hopefully these words have a meaning, in the end, I want these words, to have a deeper meaning than that of words on a page.
Sometimes, when things aren’t black and white, like when rules are bent and lines unclear, the color isn’t gray, it’s more like, that’s where the rainbows of color reside, in between the black and white.
Like when you leave the house without asking, and you run in a meadow, you’re not doing anything bad, but you’re still not being obedient. It’s those times when you want to shout to the rooftops and sing to the hills, those are the colorful moments in life, when no strings hold you down, no people are telling you right from wrong, because you’re not doing either.
Color is everything in this life, we see it everywhere, in a smile, a flower, a kiss, you see color, because everything has one, a color I mean, it’s like an endless rainbow, of colors you’ve never even seen, of radiance that can only slightly ever be described. You just want to grab those moments and put them in your pocket, you want to take a little bit of color with you everywhere you go, and splash it on those around you in gloomy moods.
Figuratively can’t you see it? Can’t you see the beauty of the little things in life stashed in our pockets like candy, the wonder of a butterfly in our very own hand? The knowledge that we can make someone, anyone’s life better, even if just for a moment, is a gift. When you hand a five year old girl a flower, simply because, you have made her remember you forever, as the person who made her smile. That same flower, you handed to the small girl, just made the world a bit brighter, nothing changed except whose hands held the flower, but because of the nearly tangible happiness of the easily pleased little girl, you just added to some joy to this seemingly dismal planet.
A flower. A perfect representation of that color I spoke of, because a flower comes from a little seed, nothing extraordinary, just a simple little seed, but when the day comes that that seed becomes a flower you can find every intricate detail, every color that seeps through into the next, every speck of light shed on the unique little creation. To make this analogy even better, let’s bring it full circle, let’s say you found that beautiful silent ballerina in the meadow that you ran through after leaving the house without permission.
The silent ballerina sits in the palm of your hand, and you can almost see the dance it creates, though she sits motionless center stage. The beauty of this simple pleasure is like an aura of pure color, you can see it, feel it, and even taste it. That is what lies between black and white. Like that time before you wake, but after sleep. It’s like Neverland, nothing in the world is gray. Its all, black, white and color. Color is where we should all be, in that euphoric state of lovely, dazzling color.
In the end, I wouldn’t want to be in a gray world, a state between happiness and depression, positive and negative, I’d much rather think of that middle ground as a vast pool of light, and color. A place where nothing bad could ever happen, no obligation touches you in those moments. You are new, and whole, and complete in your world of overwhelming color. After all, why would someone want to bend the rules if they wouldn’t feel that rush of emotion, and exhilaration, of color? They wouldn’t because that feeling is all we crave, to have at least a moment to be out of the norm, to go beyond yourself, your abilities into a state before rebellion, before angst, the carefree, innocent kind of disobedience, in where rules don’t truly even apply. In my perfect world, everything would have a color, and every color an emotion, and every emotion a color, a perfect circle. In my perfect world; not gray, but a rainbow.

That’s great that you have a clear focus and knowledge of what you want to do with your life, you are truly blessed to have that.

I feel lost, adrift in an ocean of “get this done yesterday”, and yet I still have no clear idea of what I am supposed to do.

For what it’s worth, I completed college and obtained a degree in business, but never have had or have a desire to start my own company.

Most of what I had a passion for growing up (marine biology, art, geography, and history) I had explained to me in explicit terms by my parents that there was no practical way to earn a living in those areas.

So, I continue the jaunt through life, trying to find work that I can do that is least annoying but still allows one to pay the bills.

Sorry for sounding so down, but I am in between jobs again and have felt in a slump for the past few days. Sometimes I think it helps to write down/vent what’s bothering you.

BTW, I agree about teaching – one generally even learns more about something through teaching someone else.

I was fortunate enough to work in the Computer Lab my last semester of college; helping others to learn MS Word and Excel. One truly gains a great respect for what teachers/professors face everyday – from students who just don’t try, to those who genuinely want to learn but are hitting roadblocks – and helping them to figure out routes around those roadblocks is a great feeling.
