How to be creative.

Just start creating.

I must say I don’t think I have ever been more inspired than I am right now. I am sitting in an art studio owned by an amazing artist, Jay Senetcho, lived and worked in by Chad Krowchuk, Gideon Flit, and Darcy Belscher, watching a music video directed, produced and designed by Chad starring Mark Hildreth!
I am blown away by the creativity and joy I am surrouned by.

Getting off a 14-hour day of directing and acting, only to be met with a wonderful glass of scotch and love filled artists celebrating art, life and humanity. Ah joy.

How do you be creative!

You just be!

Express yourself and love the experience. What you don’t know is a gift and to embrace your questions will break the skin that surrounds your skin! Pay attention and laugh.

    you are most defininitly in the wrong career!!! perhaps you should take up song writing or if only the internet had a stand up comedy hour….you know you could cause a revolt and encourage that we all start sending telegrams??? or writing with feathers??? both those may bring back the bloggers!!!

    oh and 1 and 1/2 letters down for me:)…..non received yet:( hahaha (it’s been 2 days)

    I’ve never really been one for letters. My grandmother used to write to my brothers and me when we were very young, but now I much prefer to keep in touch with people by phone or, more frequently these days, on networking sites like Facebook. The majority of my friends are registered there now and I can be reasonably certain they’re receiving any messages I send in good time and you can have real time conversations with people a world away on Facebook or Windows Messenger without it costing a fortune.

    The only time I write letters these days is when I need to complain about something. Has anyone else noticed that in this age of instant and widespread communication where every company has websites, email addresses and customer service hotlines, it is virtually impossible to make a complaint? I find the worst offenders for this are generally the very companies that are based on the web, such as ISPs and online shopping sites. When it comes to giving them money it happens in a digital instant, but when you’re not happy you have to write by snail mail – if you can even find a postal address – and wait 28 days for a response.

    I still occasionally receive letters but I haven’t actually opened any in about three weeks because I know what they all are – bank statements, umpteen offers to give me credit I don’t need or want, and the occasional bill that is paid automatically. They’re all sitting on my dining table unopened until I remember where I put my shredder.

    I hesitate to go paperless since I only work in the office when they are short! When I try to use the public computer resources at work, I draw a, “You ain’t got your own office!” competitors from other departments. It really gets totally annoying.

    I personally hate the idea of a paperless office – it was that idea that cost me my last job. There was a computer malfunction that lost us some of our records and they accused me of falsifying things deliberately and sacked me. There was no evidence and there was no paper trail to exonerate me. It was all trumped up anyway – they were sacking as many people as they could since axing empty posts is cheaper than making a third of the workforce redundant…

    hi allison, there is a show called criminal minds on wednesday. at the begining there is always a quote from someone. tonight there was a quote from mark twain. i just thought you would like it. its on chanell 2 at 9.00 pm. i hope that you will have a good and fun thanksgiving. i am also looking forward to your directing debut.

    Hmmm. Tried looking up the artist Allison mentioned. I guess she missed a ‘k’ in his name. It’s Jay Senetchko, if anyone else wants to look him up. As I type this, I keep dropping e’s and have to go back and edit … so no big deal about a missing K.

    It’s going to take a truck load of caffiene to keep me awake today. Looks like winter is here in Ohio. I guess I should up my exercise regiment to make myself feel more rested. Today, I did 20 reps of my snooze alarm button slams. I think I’ll up it to 25 tomorrow and see if that helps.

    It’s funny how “Non-profit” or “Not for Profit” translates into something that looks like “Not Lucrative.” It’s the same root and means “a gain” but it’s funny how the change in a word makes you think about a concept. A non-profit organization doesn’t directly produce an income. A not for profit organization might produce an income, but that’s not what it’s there for. But if you think of profit as money, that’s one thing. But if you think in terms of “gain,” yes, a non-profit organization is there to generate gains — in the welfare, the dignity, the standard of living for those it serves.

    People are certainly better off … have richer, more enjoyable lives … due to the efforts of people like Bouroux and Lydia creating a site for French speaking fans of Allison.

    I guess the organizations that don’t fare as well are “Non-Prophet” organizations — ones not led by people with a vision.

    Sorry. Still waiting until there is more coffee available so I can kick this day into gear. I hate having crutches … but they fill a temporary need. At least I’m not at the point of putting coffee grounds under my tongue. And I did kick the mountain dew habit after I went from having 2 cavities in my first 4.5 decades of life and getting 13 in a single year of Mountain Dew dependency. Now they’ve come out with the statistics on low weight births due to caffeine intake, so I will definitely quit drinking caffeinated beverages … if I get pregnant.

    Wow, that’s wierd. I was actually able to read and understand Lydia’s translation and I haven’t had to speak French in nearly 10 years. Strange how it sticks with you. Of course reading it and taking the time to puzzle it out is easier than having to converse in it. That was always my problem – not being able to translate my thoughts into another language fast enough. That’s why I can read three or four languages but can only have a semi-coherent conversation in my own. My parents probably don’t help – they occasionally buy me random books in other languages but I never read them. I ask you, who’s going to take the time to read “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” in Latin when they haven’t even read it in English?

    The good news is they’ve started showing season 8 in the UK now. The bad news is this is unusually early and I wasn’t expecting it until the spring, so I missed the first episode. D’oh. Thank god you can get it on the channel’s website for a month afterward or I’d be really miffed.
