sick and sad

After a full day of travel, I arrived home to the news that my amazing and wonderful kitty, bosely, is very ill.

Wow, and the flood gates open.

I feel like I am mourning for about three really important changes occurring in my life right now and I am heart broken. Change is a beautiful thing. Angles and bruises shape and color our person. But the process is so uncomfortable. So when the things of comfort, aka a rad cat is threatened, I feel the changes, the uncomfortable, so deeply. I suppose feeling it and not judging that would probably work best.

Ah, always things to practice.

Sorry to hear about Bosley.Yesterday,my cat Jasper turned 11 and as he gets older, the more precious he becomes to me. Jas and I will keep both of you in our prayers!

  • Chelsea

I am sorry about your cat. I have grown up on a dairy farm with lots of cats and dogs, so I know how much it hurts to see a pet that you love so much be in pain.

I have also been going through some very uncomfortable and heartbreaking changes in my life because I can no longer afford to go to the university that I have dreamed of attending since I was a sophomore in highschool. It’s hard to have to leave my dream behind, but I have faith that God has a plan for my life and it is an incredible plan much greater than anything I can imagine. So, that thought is what gives me hope. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your kitty :)

    P.S.
This was my first post, but I have been following your blog for a while and I think it is so amazing how you take the time to share your experiences with your fans! Thank you!

  • Eduardo

oh i forgot to ask why the heart broken is for the same thing or something happend ?

Poor kitty, he’s feeling the angles and bruises too. Hope you are both well soon. Sometimes feeling it, taking it all in and letting it do the job without judging is the very best thing. Wise. I’m sorry you’re heart broken. Strange how one seemingly small thing can cut us open and let our insides gush out. Life has a way of throwing us for a loop at times. Change is painful, especially when nothing seems safe or comfortable. Those are the best places to grow, though. Hang in there! You’re a beautiful soul!

  • Carissa

I’m so sorry Allison, I love my two kittens to death and I’d be heartbroken too if something was wrong with them, I hope everything turns out alright. :)

I know in my life, I have gotten an injury and been unaware of it because I was focused on something else … and I have had the slightest scratch seem unbearable because of being all too aware of other painful things going on in my life.

There have been hints in your recent blog entries that you are going through some painful changes now, so when you came home to a sick pet, you may feel that you are over-reacting to one event, but in reality, you are reacting to your life as a whole. So you put a lot into your experience in Prague and had a long trip home and those and other things left you unprepared to face anything else.

I will keep Bosley in my thoughts.

    Dearest Allison,
I really think you are amazing.
keeping you and the boz in my thoughts.

Having a sick pet is always so hard because they can’t tell you why it hurts. I hope your cat ends up being okay and if not, I hope they find peace without too much pain.

Allison, sorry to hear your so sad.
At Prague you were far of the major changes in your life.
Now the cat is very ill, you’re tired and you’re at home where the changes are obvious.

Three really important changes occurring in your life simultaneously.
    Why?
After 8 days of introspection ?
Call your mum. She will have the good words.
Take one thing at a time.
    My thoughts are with you.
    Take care of you.

awww Allison I hope your kitty is better, It’s always so sad to hear when an animal is hurt or sick or worse :( . I’m sorry I hope he feels better, i’ll pray for him.

I feel ya though I know what it’s like to feel like that for an animal, I had the cutest most amazing dog she was a golden retriever & I saved her from an animal shelter & no one wanted her because she was old and I guess that makes people not want dogs anymore & so I went in one day just to check out the animals because I adore every single animal from dogs to cats to horses etc… So anyway I went in to the shelter & was looking at the puppies when I spotted her (her name was Daisy Duke) & I instantly fell in love with her, she was just so beautiful & she looked so sad. I asked the manager about the dogs background & she told me that they found her & that her last owner used to beat her & left her for dead & they found her, & they told me that no one wanted her so that made me want her even more. Now I didn’t want to buy a dog because my parents wouldn’t let me have one but I told them about her & took them to see her & they liked her alot yet they thought she wouldn’t be good because she had a bad history because of what she went through, but they let me keep her. I loved that dog sooo much she was my friend, companion, & dog. I know it’s not really too healthy to cling to an animal but I adored her. She wasn’t sad anymore & she even played, the things she loved the most was the snow she would roll around in that all day long. I was surprised too because of how old she was. Sadly she died 4 years after I got her :( . But for some reason I felt like happy knowing she was in a better place & she left happy not sad & for that I was happy, she left loved more than any dog I knew. I made her young again & I loved that, anyway I got a new puppy after that she is a poodle & she is very adorable, yet very very hyper & again I feel that friendship I had with Daisy :) .

Okay sorry that was my long rambling story I know it’s sad but I love animals & felt like I should share it.

I really hope Bosley is okay & Allison maybe he was ill because he missed you alot, I am studying in college animals & there behavior & it says that any animal that is attached to there owner will feel really depressed when there owner leaves for a while. So maybe he was just feeling that, just pamper him & he will most likely be up & running around in no time :)

    Take Care,

    Susana

    Hi Allison,

…To feel and not to judge is alright as long as you can bear it. Music always helps me in such times. It usually takes some time until I found some songs that play the song of my heart and soul, but when I’ve found those, they really help and heal.

Concerning your cat… I’m so sorry, Allison. Pets get quite close to our hearts, don’t they? I know exactly how you feel now. I know this pain bloody well. It’s devastating when one’s pet is severely ill and one feels so helpless.

I’ve lost inter alia two dogs to cancer. So from my own experiences I can give you this advice:
    - Do whatever you can in order to help your cat, but only as long as it is the best for your cat. When it comes to the worst then stick to one thing – don’t be selfish but be humane. I hope for you that it won’t go so far. I wish you and your cat much strength in the next days and weeks…

… and I hope your cat will get healthy again and the best of luck for your little sweetheart.

    Lots of love,
    Silvia

    “Ah, always things to practice.”

That’s what makes you a cut above the rest.

I’ve got my own difficulties at this time, but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep your wits about you Allison, and I’m sure that your family and friends will have good advice for you if you want it.

    Hope your cat gets better.

Sorry to hear the news. My hope and prayers for bosely to get better.

I hope that all is well soon, with both you and Bosely.

    Take care

    PS

I’ve been thinking about your cat since I’ve read your posting. Be this as it may, these thoughts brought something back to my mind. I didn’t really forget it, it’s just so long ago… I once had a guinea pig. He was 7 years old when he finally died. Whatsoever, when I was away for one week, my guinea pig got really sick. He missed me so much that he nearly died. After I was back his condition got better quickly. So if Bosley has the same problem, try to spend as much time with him as possible and he’ll be fine again very soon. If he has something else… well, you know what I’ve said before.

Boy do i know about being sick and sad right now! I can say that it will pass, only because it usually does.Do i believe it for myself?…well i have to see it happen first. But with sadness and tragidy there must be hope and faith.Without that i dont how we can get through anything.

So with that i hope that your cat gets better. And have faith that the changes coming ahead will bring more positivness to your journey.

Now to practise what i preach, lol!

I’m so sorry to hear that Allison. I hope Bosely gets better real soon.

I’ve been sad as well as my parents 12 year old dog is very sick. I’ve been shoving pills down her for a week now. Won’t take them in her food and my parents are too afraid to put their fingers in her mouth. Guess their afraid of losing a digit or two. My family and I have always treated our pets as our kids so it’s really hard to see them get sick.

I’ll be thinking about Bosely. <3

Change- it seems like it’s that season for many people right now. I like it, and at the same time I feel awkward, uncomfortable & like I can’t breath! I don’t like surprises, so…until I see what’s ahead, I get alittle anxious…ahahahha!

  • Ornella Santilli

Oh! Poor kitty!!! It probably missed you!!!! It is said that animals feel abandoned when their owners have to travel, so they show symptoms of illness. But do not worry it happened exactly the same with my dog!!! It is a psychological state. Now, it needs your entire love and dedication!!!! I hope it gets better!!!!

Do not be sad it is going to be all right!!!

    Warmly,

    Ornella from Argentina.

  • Ornella Santilli

DO NOT WORRY I’M SURE BOSELY WILL GET BETTER!!!! I’LL PRAY FOR HIM!!!

Sorry to hear about Your cat Allie :S Fingers crossed he/she makes it :) , My mom started drinking too so i guess its week of disturbances of life rhytm :S
Waiting for future posts, hang tight ,DW

  • Vanessa (spain)

Ornella, I don´t mean to be rude, but could you please stop using exclamations marks and capital letters so much? I know you don´t mean it, but I can hear you yelling every time I read your posts, and it´s a bit annoying…
Please, don´t take it as an offense, maybe I´m just a little too sensitive, but I would apreciate it if you didn´t do it that much…

  • http://www.twitter.com/VonScheibler VonScheibler

It had to be you to define bruises and angles as uncomfortable =P

  • Ornella Santilli

    Vanessa:
But I didn’t mean that. The thing is I like being positive and wishing others the best!
Exclamations shows positeveness! It isn’t rude. Sorry but I can’t alter my personality.

Sorry if I offended you but all I want is to make friends.

  • Ornella Santilli

I sometimes use capital letters because I am a bit lazy to change to small letters. Please, forgive my sins.

Allison, I am sorry to hear that Bosely is sick.I hope Bosely gets better soon. Your blog fans are all here for you. What ever changes have happened in your life I hope they work out for you. Thinking of you.

  • Vanessa (spain)

Ornella, I know you don´t mean to shout, but for me it looks like you´re doing it. Maybe in another countries is different, but in Spain we use exclamation marks to shout (also when we´re excited), and that´s why it´s annoying for me, because when I see the !!! it makes the words sound louder in my head :P
