Boselys epic search for red blood cells!

Bosley

So of all the cats in the world I pick the one who has a rare case of anemia that doesn’t have any sort of solution or predictable rhythm.
I swear he was put on this earth to teach me how to care about something outside of myself.
To take care, simply because I care.
What a lesson!

aw, thanks allison for sharing that photo. Pets do have a way of teaching us a lot of life lessons and responsibility.
My dad is a veterinarian and so I grew up with cats and dogs..they really do work themselves into our hearts. :) I’ll be praying for Bosely. Keep us informed on how he’s doing..

Poor cat. But you’r right…what a good lesson! Learning to care about others; that is the only way we could change the world.

  • Katy1983

    HI Allison!!

Your cat is a very cute one. I´m sorry, that he has this sickness. I have a cat, too. His name is Toffi. He´s such a sweetheart and very lovely.
Oh and what I want to say, too. I like you very much in the new season of Smallville, but it´s very sad, that Aaron Ashmore isn´t in it. Have you still contact to him??
    Lots of Greetings, Katy

  • Vanessa (spain)

    Anyone got the newsletter yet?

  • Beth

Vanessa, I know its difficult, but try to be patient; we’ll get the newsletter when we get the newsletter…:)

  • Vanessa (spain)

    I´m trying, I´m trying…. :P

  • Christopher

Where can we go now to talk about the current season/episodes of “Smallville”? It just doesn’t seem appropriate to launch into that here on this most recent blog entry–since it has to do with Allison’s poor sick cat! :-(

  • Beth

Hey Vanessa…how did you do that smiley?

  • Beth

And chris…how did you do that frowny?

  • Vanessa (spain)

Beth, I think I did it with putting this “:” and this “P” together :P

  • Vanessa (spain)

    Yes, that was it :)

Christopher, there’s a “Smallville Corner” in the forum – link at the top of this page. And thanks for not posting spoilers here – we’re not going to get season 9 for months! Beth, you can do a few different smileys by putting a colon : together with other symbols/letters. I don’t know which ones work on this site
    :) :( :D :P :S :X ;) :$ :’(

  • http://www.myspace.com/rostafarian Ross UK

Not all apparently – the ones that worked were
    :) : ) : ( :( : D :D : P :P ; ) ;)

I was just doing a bit of reading up on anemia and discovered to my surprise that it can be triggered in cats by eating onions, as onions are toxic to cats.

  • Beth

    :P :) :( :D ;)

  • Beth

hey i think ive got it! thanks guys :D

I’m really sorry to hear about Bosely’s ailments.

It’s for this very reason that I don’t have any pets. I love animals but I usually get too attached and then it breaks me up when they get ill or die.

I hope Bosely gets better real soon.

    Take care

    Friday

P.S Ross, I hate to see a fellow Smallville fan in pain so I’ll let you in on a little secret via your Myspace account. ;)

  • Christopher

Way to go, Beth! You may now advance to the official rank of “Fucking Grand Master of the Emoticon” with all the rights and privileges thereunto appertaining! ;-)

  • Beth

    uh…thanks chris…
ps-got over the swearing a long time ago

  • Christopher

    Sorry, Beth. :-(

your cat is a blessing, indeed. =)
once i was on my way home and it just finished raining, and i heard a kitten crying in the street. i wanted to just ignore it but when i found it and saw it in the street all wet and shivering, i couldn’t help but take it home with me. we’ve lots of cats at home actually.=) the cute cat i took home was just days old. the kitten died a day after, but at least the kitten had a home before it died.

we miss hearing from you Allison!
God bless and take care always.=)

The fact that you can take a negative situation and find a way to find something positive out of it is really inspiring.

  • Beth

Yes, Allison does always manage to see the glass half full, doesn’t she, and I agree: very inspiring.

  • bwhited1968

I am sorry to hear about Bosley! Yes, animals do teach us so much. Like little children, we must step outside ourselves, and care for something that may need us more than we know. My cat is a little less adorable that Bosley… especially when she steps up on my chest and meows in my face at 6am!

  • walterdiego

my last cat was named Arenita (is the name in spanish for Sandy from SpongeBob)… she’s died in 04, im only remembering…

    bye

  • peppermint

    Hi Allison!

I just want to say: Thank you for you

  • Beth

Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but I think peppermint just spoke on behalf of everyone who comes on here.

  • Jade Ruby

Well Beth, I don’t think you’ll get any takers, what Peppermint says is so true.

  • bukenriver

Hi Allison! I understand what you are living with your cat. My dog gas the same problem. My father is a vet and he gives her insuline two times a day and special food for her liver. I hope this will help you.

Congrats for the 9th Season and your entire work!!!!!

Luckily, Bosely has such a caring pet owner. Animals can teach us so much!
