OMG!! This made my eyes water & my heart break. I could not imagine living life without art & music, or poetry, more over, to have that passion and not have anyone to share it with, or affirm it. Thanks for bring awareness to the table. Thanks for giving others the platform. You rock!

    Wow.
I don’t know how you find these things but that was such a beautiful story.
A world without art and music? I could not even imagine that.
Thank you for sharing that Allison :)

    Hi Allison
A world without art and music?
This is the result of the use of beliefs to control people.
The Taliban have made ??a good brainwashing for the banishment of all forms of art.
If we look around us, we can discover in some religious or secular similar behaviors.
They have conditioned the Aphgans that some forms of art were poor and they have quietly added to this that there is no more.
This is the perfect example of mind control to better control men with beliefs.
Mr. Solomon has made ??an incredible job, but he risked his life.
We unfortunately lost over one hundred Canadian soldiers in this country to bring hope and freedom to this people.
Thank you for sharing this story with us.
We look forward to once again enjoy your great acting talent. We miss your incredible smile and your facial expressions that give the art a new face.
    Take care of you.

They sacrificed their lives for a better world, and we who live on will forever be in their debt.

Looks like Allison will be in a slice of schlock horror coming our way soon: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1714203/

    Szia Allison!

”Without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable.” George Bernard Shaw

A world without art is a world without culture, heart, passion or creativity. Art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. For some people, art is the entire reason they get out of bed in the morning. Art is something that makes us more thoughtful and well-rounded humans. Art is form and content. Art changes lives.

    Thanks for sharing!

This is an eye opening podcast. The speaker is very brave in doing what he did. I think all of us admire that. I had no clue that art was illegal in Afghanistan. I would’ve probably ran mad. I know what he’s talking about when he said he experienced such a beautiful feeling with all the artists in his room, playing till the morning. It’s an amazing feeling. I think it was even more so for the artists.

Allison, I think all of us would like to have an impact on the world like that. lol I’m still in high school and I’m striving to change my country around with film as well. It’s a long shot but good things come in little packages. Little things as well can have a big impact on people. You don’t have to fly all over the world and risk your life to do good. It is noble and great and what not and if you want to do it, you sure as hell can! But! We can all start small.

I can safely say, you have inspired me and a lot of other people as well just by holding true to yourself. So keep doing what you’re doing. In time, you’ll get that epiphany. You just got to start somewhere. Whether its a huge challenge or a small one, it still makes the difference.

^ whew, been a while since i wrote something like that. lol no slang! WHAT??

It’s harder to eradicate poetry [http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12246627], being as it is merely an intense expression of ideas and feelings (An interesting note: the quran is considered poetry, though mostly by leftist-liberals).
    The poem was interesting:
    On the highest escarpment, on the sharpest peak, inscribe this epithet of the future-less generation;
that, instead of Mother’s milk, we were given guns.
And instead of education, we were given war.
Don’t blame us, we could do nothing for you.

Dinner for Ninety for one hundred-and-fifty to two hundred dollars, must cook like my Mére.
