Pretending to cook…

Am I the only one who loves to collect recipes just in case one day I will make time to cook for myself? Seriously, I love to believe I am the type of woman who is always that creative, warm, intentional. The kind of woman who sews buttons on shirts, bakes fresh bread, and writes consistently on her blog. Ah yes, le sigh. Maybe I will be that one day…or maybe not. La di da on this gorgeous fall afternoon.

No that seems to be a general problem, at least with the people
I know. but you never know maybe someday.

You are, however, the kind of woman that says “la di da” ;)

And le sigh. That made me smile.

I do too! I have a book FULL of recipes that I intend to make one day. Some I do, some I don’t. I do however, bake bread, make my own jams and chutneys and love to cook. Although I am a modern day mum, I am also very traditional at heart. The kids and I go berry picking every year and make different jams. It’s good for them to know where their food comes from. xx

I know this has nothing to do with the topic or your blog itself, but I dying to ask you, how was your experience on Wilfred, you are a very talented actress, and for a short period of time you and Elijah just unplug my common sense from the real world. Bravo!

I do exactly the same thing.
I collect recipes every time I decide I love a new meal. Then promise myself I will actually use them.
    Never happens. Ever.
I’m far too much a fast food junkie.
Not good for my health OR my savings…

I also knew how to sew once, but then life happened.
    The memory is long forgotten.

Hi allison, I’d e-mail every day waiting for your reply. (I have the two posts, I’ve made ??about me.) Know you do not know me. However, we’re more familiar with.

That’s a beautiful picture of a tree. It gives me the feeling of being majestic; like recalling a good memory from a distant past, all-of-a-sudden and without hesitation… A swingset comes to mind, from my childhood, in which I was pushing a female classmate on a summer day while on vacation from school. I make a smile as my eyes follow the branch outward away from the trunk and towards the… OMG you going to cook the tree in one of your collected recipes and that is why you took the picture. Wait wait, no your not, you were just enjoying the moment also… thank God.

Yeah, trees are awesome. So calming; so inspirational. They look great whatever the season. Autumn / fall would definitely be my fav’, though, on account of all the glorious colours. (Hoping you’re keeping well, Ed.)

I believe that life is and should be a journey. Taking the time to experiment and learn and explore and discover would seem to be key to helping find the boundaries of who you are. When you find things you like, you can stretch those boundaries further, expanding your knowledge and understanding.

For instance. For me, finding love was not a priority, but when I did end up finding it, it opened up a whole new world of joy and contentment that I had never even imagined might be out there. I dated, explored, found out what it was all about and gained enough experience to know the right thing when I saw it.

Take a bite here, a bite there and taste the world. You may find combinations that are completely unique to you, but are as satisfying as anything you could have hoped for.

I want to believe that harmony starts from within. Learning about yourself helps to build a strong foundation from which to build upon, and with that strength and stability you can work to help others find their own footing and establish their own firm ground upon which to walk.

Wishing you the very best in your journey,

    PDS

Allison – Heard a short video on YT of you singing “The very part of You”, and thought you have a very nice singing voice, although did not sound like it was a studio recording. I hope you might consider actually doing a few recordings sometime of some of the great classics, as your voice fits the genre, and allow us to hear such? You should cut your own album! I’d buy it! Thanks!

Yes you will and hope to see you again in TV show like smallville.
