Hey Allison! I believe people enter our lives and events happen in order to keep us on our path, or correct our path until we find that place where we are supposed to be. What do you think??

    Hey Solti!

The first student film is called “Paper Running”. I am up for a second, this one is called “Just Like Heaven”. I am also preparing for an audition for a play called “Facing East”. This is kind of Crazy. I just started and already I am looking at 3 projects. Fate has a funny way of letting you know things. I will let you all know how things progress.

Allison, See? your journey does make a difference. This may be short lived, but just a little message for another has changed my life for the better in so many ways I cannot describe how excited I am. Oh, and Acting classes start November 9th. !

  • bwhited1968

Hey Allison, and all of my friends here!

I saw an amazing performance with you and MIke Averill performing “Shade” I was wondering if there is a place where I can pick up a copy, or download the song. It is for my Love, Jackie who has had a rough time the last 6 months. I am making an effort to think of a truly thoughtful Christmas gift, and that song conveys perfectly how I feel.

Anyone else with any suggestions for truly thoughtful gift ideas, I am all ears!

    Thanks!

    Bruce

  • Jade Ruby

I like to give relevant small paintings; prints or originals.

  • Jade Ruby

I might add that I’m always on the look-out for nice stuff at local art festivals; so even though I prefer paintings, if I see something I want to give and the price is right, I’ll buy it.

  • bwhited1968

GREAT idea! I am really trying to make my gifts meaningful this year. It is so easy to get caught up in the commercialism of things. This site has really helped me get back in touch with a more creative side of who I am. I want to keep that going!

  • Jade Ruby

    Thanks bwhited1968.

  • Beth

I agree. I still love that performance of ‘Shade’. It was beautiful.

  • SKOPAS

Yeah, I will second that question!

All those in favor of Allison answering to what her favorite personalized gift of art is, and why, signify by saying Aye.

Some really great questions posters above.

“As a nation grows and changes, its literature grows and changes with it. At first it asks only for stories, then it asks for history for its own sake, and for poetry for its own sake; history, I mean, for the knowledge it gives us for the past; poetry for joy in the beautiful words, and not merely for the stories they tell. Then as a nation’s needs and knowledge grow, it demands ever more and more books on all kinds of subjects.

And we ourselves grow and change just as a nation does. When we are very young, there are many books which seem dull and stupid. But as we grow older and learn more, we begin to like more and more kinds of books. We may still love the stories that we loved as children, but we love others too. And at last, perhaps, there comes a time when those books which seemed to us most dull and stupid delight us the most”

    HE Marshall

    Hi Allison,

1.How would you describe the experience of helping to develop a character and be part of a production of several years?

2.Which elements gets the most excited when acting, is it the challange of the part itself? The people- both cast and crew? the message of the story as a whole? or a combination of all of these?

    3. What positive changes would you like to see develop within the Film ,Television and Theatre industries?

  • Beth

I agree about changing interest in books with age. Last week I was reading a childrens book to my niece and I realised I actually still enjoyed the book myself. The week before that I found a series of books I attempted to read as a teenager but found uninteresting. Now I would actually like to re-read them.

  • Jade Ruby

    Hello Allison,

How does it feel to have been a part of a production such as Smallville which began with an instant fan base, and not having lost that true ‘girl next door’ flavor?

  • Raphael

    Hi Allison,

My first question is for you, do you enjoy your live?

    2. Well Thats a question that nobody can really answer but I want know what do you think about this. Do you believe the Universe is infinite? Well I think the answer is in our heart ^^

    3. Do you believe it is possible, to reach all good things in your live if you believe in your self?

    Have a beautiful week Allison

  • http://www.rfministries.com/ IreneT

I have question, but I am not sure how to phrase it. I tend to come off as blunt or rude, but please know this is a just a curious question in wanting to learn.

You’ve been in the business for…..? well all your life. Im sure it’s a struggle sometimes to keep creative fuel in your system. Do you think you’ll ever do more with all that you’ve learned in the business? like establish a Co., or maybe pour your knowledge into people? You seem easy to learn from, cause your so well versed in self expression.

  • Jade Ruby

Art has always been a means for cultural expressions of the more subtle aspects of life. Do you believe that with all its new changes, Smallville still reaches that next level of subtlety in season nine?

  • Jade Ruby

BTW, kudos to the writing staff of Smallville over the years!

  • bwhited1968

Hey Allison, and my Friends here!

I just finished my first day of shooting and I am exhausted!!! What do you find the most exhausting about your job?? The takes (and retakes) or the waiting between?? Betty Davis used to say ” Actors Act… I wait”. What is your take???

    Love to All,

    Bruce

  • Beth

    Hey Bruce!
    That’s so cool!
I don’t know what I’m waiting for…I should be doing what your doing. I mean I have worked on sets but I should be doing more of it.

  • bwhited1968

    Hey Beth!!!

Do it! Don’t let time tick by! Allison is 100% right in that if you have a passion, go for it!!! What is the Worst that can happen? You end up with a really cool Hobby… Do it, Beth! I know you can. If there is anything I can do to encourage you I am there, and while I do not speak for Allison, I know she would agree. You can all come check out what I am doing on Facebook. Right now, I am kind of recording what is happening there until I build by own site. I am filming again tomorrow and then I am auditioning for a play called “Facing East” Looks like an important play, and I am inviting all of you guys to come out and see it even if I don’t make it!

What’s your favorite outdoor winter time activity?

  • flor2196

how it feels been a famous person? and who is your favourite actor?

  • bwhited1968

    OK Allison!

So things are getting a little “sporty” now. I have been offered another student film, and I am waiting to hear back on “Facing East”. If I get them both, I am going to be SLAMMED for time. My question is…
How do you juggle multiple projects at once?

    Bruce

  • Beth

    That’s a good question Bruce.
    I second that question.
Glad your student films are going well.

  • bwhited1968

    Thanks Beth!!

  • Solti

    Say Allison,

If you would have a chance to write a bestseller, what would it be?
    Bruce, I’m glad too!

  • Jade Ruby

    Hey Bruce,

    Good luck on your projects!
Have you checked out the books or website of the time management guru Stephen Covey? He was a fixture at the Clinton Whitehouse. He recommends that you divide your life’s projects into life roles, and focus on those roles first when you create your schedules. He also suggests that you use the week as your main time-frame when you begin to schedule your tasks, rather than daily. So when you begin your week, you start your scheduling by looking at your life roles first (family member, actor, producer, community member, individual, etc. just up to seven is best) and what you want to accomplish that week for your goals in those roles.

Now that of course doesn’t cover the time conflicts of your individual projects.

  • Alieta11

First off, my name is Elsie and I am a HUGE fan of Smallville, and Chloe Sulliven is my favorite character. So, of course, my question will have something to do with Smallville. My question is, of all of the actors from Smallville, which guy and which girl would you say you are the closest to?

    ~Elsie :]

  • bwhited1968

    Hi Jade!!!

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely see what Covey has to say about time management. I am usually pretty good with time management. My question for Allie goes also to the juggling of multiple roles and projects which can take one on a creative roller coaster. Playing two and three characters at once can be a bit challenging because one must keep the energy for all of them high, BUT separate. How does one compartmentalize all of that without getting a little daffy?

  • Jade Ruby

I think it may help to already be sincerely and creatively daffy from the start Bruce.

  • bwhited1968

LOL! In that case I am already There!!!!

  • Jade Ruby

Terrific Bruce! Maybe one day you’ll have fans of your own.

  • bwhited1968

Hmmmmm……. a little premature with that.

  • Jade Ruby

    Go Crows!!!

  • Jake3Alan

Hello Allison. Do you like sports and the great outdoors. I am an artist and i find alot of inspiration in nature and through exercise. I draw and I am currently learning how to paint. Do you paint or draw. Thank you for taking the time to hear from your fans. :)

  • SamuelColt

Hello Allison! I have a question for you…If you had one miracle granted in your life, what would it be?

  • Jade Ruby

    Dear Allison,

If you mentioned what episode of Smallville you will direct for season 9, I missed it. Could you tell us which episode it will be? And even if you leave Smallville and go on to other things and they have another few seasons, might it be possible for you to direct another episode or two for them?

    Yours truly,
    The Jade Ruby

  • Jade Ruby

    Allison,

I don’t think that it’s a small deal to have a woman at the helm of filming in our culture here in North Am. If possible could you take it and run with it as far as you can?

    The Jade Ruby

  • LinZ107k

We all have our struggles, whether they be emotional, medical, or work related. What do you struggle with as a person and as an actress?

That’s my question, but I’d also like to take a moment to thank you for being real. You always seem to make it a point to be an individual. Your an inspiration. Thanks.

  • Solti

    Hi Allison!

What is the death of creativity?

And I absolutely agree with you, LinZ107k:
”I’d … like … to thank you for being real.”

  • Beth

I also agree with that. It’s what separates her and some other members of the smallville cast from the rest of hollywood…She’s real.

  • Diabay

I have a question for you Allison! Considering that you’ve been with Smallville for a while,do you have any other goals that you want to accomplish in the near future?

  • bwhited1968

    Hey Allison!

I just wanted to wish you and everyone here a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I am thankful for a lot of things, but I am absolutely thankful for you!!! If I had not stumbled across your Ask 3 Event, I would not have been inspired to make the jump back into acting. I have made 2 short indie films and am meeting with an agent in December. I owe this success to you!

    Always,

    Bruce

  • Lissa

What a fascinating site, and a truley intriguing idea.

To the bread reporters: you two are hilarious.

As for a question to answer (or more than one really- for everyone not just Allison)

    1) If you were to write a novel what would it be called and what genre would it be? Feel free to add a “why” section.

    2) Definately stolen but still a fascinating question- all’s fair in love and war?

    3) If you were given 3 months to live what would you do with your remaining time? Try to live longer or enjoy the time you had left? Travel? Ask out the special someone? Fly to the moon?

    4) If you could have 3 superpowers what would they be? Please give reasons.

This really is a great idea! And its focus is positive rather than the negative that seems to permeate so much of life. Its somewhat uplifting to see. Thanks.

    Lissa

  • bwhited1968

    Hey Lissa!
    Hmmm….. Let’s see.
If I were to write a novel, I believe I would write a love story about two broken people who find each other, and how they overcome their issues to be with each other. A little hard to see the ending right now though.

No, not all is fair in Love and War. There is honor. How can you win in love when you compromise the purity of that love?

If I were given 3 month to live, I would spend it with my sweet heart. I would want my last hours to be spent in her arms. I can’t think of being much closer to heaven than that!

I don’t know what 3 superpowers I would want. Notice in the Greek Anthologies each superpower came at a usually terrible price. Even the power to control time can cause terrible things. Just take a look at Smallville! I think I would like the power to heal because there is so much suffering. I would like the power to cause others to feel the pain they cause. I believe this would be the best justice I could see. Finally, I would like read thoughts, because so many hide the way they truly feel, or hide their intentions.

    Allison, What do you say??

    Welcome to the site!

    Bruce

  • Roto

    Dear Allison,

I’ve always heard actors say that the crew and cast of the show they are part of are like a second family. However, it’s hard to tell if this is just for publicity and stuff, ya know? What’s it like on Smallville? Are you close with the cast and crew? Do you ever hang out with them outside of the set and stuff?

And as a second, much-less-interesting question: What has Smallville been like without Michael Rosenbaum?

You’re amazing. Just wanted to remind you. :]

    -Jake

  • Robert

    Hi Allison

I was just wondering. How often do you asses the impact you and your life have on others be it creatively or personally, and if so how has this changed you as a person?
My second question is, if you had the chance to express to the world the wonder of poetry and how it has the ability to touch people in all different aspects of their life, how would you go about it?

    Thanks for your time Robert.

  • Lissa

    Hey Bruce
    Thanks for the reply!

Interesting answers- I especially like the reply to the superpowers question. You don’t think having the power to read thoughts would become too overwhelming? I find there’s enough trouble trying to decipher one set of thoughts, netalone six billion. The combination of those three powers would be terribly hard to deal with (in my hypothetical dreamlike reality). It would take a stronger mind than mine!

    Lissa :)
