“We live together, we act on, and react to, one another; but always and in all circumstances we are by ourselves.” – Aldous Huxley

A very interesting quote, indeed. It’s also true. We’re all responsible for our own lives and for the choices that we make every day. Others may offer us their input and, yes, even their support. But in nearly all circumstances, it is just us.

True … because we have to go our own way and not the way of another person

I reread this quote a dozen times to get it to sink in completely. It’s
very weighty, and given my troubles with living in the moment (during my
reactions with other people) on way too many occasions to even begin to
fathom, perhaps it falls through to the very bottom of my pool of
thought. Aldous Huxley relays a simple but easily overshadowed truth
    about human nature.

Now I’ve skipped a few lines to
gush about you. You’re so very talented; watching your acting on
Wilfred, I’m reminded of a young Barbara Stanwyck; it’s your transition
from comedy to drama. It’s not an easy accomplishment, but you make it
look so effortless. And you’re drop dead gorgeous. Thank you for
    sharing; you inspire me.

To me this says we are individual Souls, each with a point of view that is uniquely our own, and to a degree, alone. (That does not necessarily mean sad).
