I recently received some feedback from a few of my fans regarding the way everything went down at the A Cappella Innovations weekend in Albany.

I want to start off by offering my most sincere apologies for any confusion in how the weekend went off and was handled. Believe it or not, I still feel very new at this whole “celebrity” thing and have been trying really hard to figure out a way to stay as open as I can with my fans, while still maintaining my safety and privacy in some way.

That is actually a big part of how this site was born in the first place. Humanity and compassion are two of the most important things in my life and I always want to make sure that I represent that in everything I do.

That being said, I am still new at this, and being a public figure is a bit more dangerous than I expected. Consequently going to a public event needs to be approached in a specific way; a way that is totally foreign to me.

The weekend felt like a bit of a whirlwind, considering I arrived on the red eye and went straight to the festival. There was no real time to sleep and a few of the college students were a bit more aggressive than I was prepared to experience. It was because of these reasons that I was a little caught off-guard, and not really representing myself the way that I would have liked in the best of situations. I chose, out of fear and innocence, to hang backstage and keep myself a little more removed than I would have liked to have been.

I feel as those the effect of this may have been some hurt feelings, mis-communications, and disappointments. I would like to be the first to say I am sorry for any of those three things and also to request your patience in my attempt to figure out a humane and kind approach to this whole “famous” life style.

I heard some of you Internet geniuses found a little Alice & Huck blip online, on our editor’s website…

No! It’s not done yet!!!! We still have the whole process of sound design before we can let anyone see it. It’s like eating the cookie dough before the cookies are baked– or worse eating the pasta without the sauce! It’s just not right!

Don’t worry, when it is done I will show you all, I promise! Thank you for your amazing interest and support!

Wasn’t that the coolest thing ever? Let’s revisit!

Truth is, I’m not, but it sure as hell doesn’t feel that way…

It’s like I separate myself into different people… This is the computer Allison; she is witty, compassionate, straightforward, and honest, with really bad grammar…

Then, there’s acting Allison; she is confident, slightly arrogant, fun-loving, and focused… with a wicked streak of ego and ambition that can tend to run over people if they get in her way…

Then, there’s the friend Allison; she is silly and creative, passionate and hyper, with an excitement for exploration and adventure…

And these are just the top three that seem the most familiar…

Then, there’s interview Allison, family Allison, convention Allison, girlfriend Allison, holiday Allison… etc., etc., etc.

…I’m almost as bad as the Barbie chain.

Malibu Allison, dream house Allison…

So, I suppose the goal becomes integrating all these Allisons into one full, rich, and round person.

But wait a minute… How am I not that already?

What the fuck?

It’s not like I split magically into all these people; they’re simply people I play in order to obtain the things I want.

What if the only true thing to obtain is a true sense of self?

Ooooo! Kinda deep?

Maybe I’ll just stick to “Cinderella Allison” or “party time Allison” for now– keep things superficial until I am ready to forge ahead into the abyss that is my own truth.

It’s funny… I recognize the beauty and desire I have to live a full and genuine life, but God, I don’t even know if I know what that means…

Maybe that’s the journey; struggling through to find those opportunities to discover a new foothold in the cave of me and explore from there for a while… until I am ready to go a little deeper….

Ok, that feels good.
